James Reesor 2010 Campaign Press Releases: Permission to copy and share this press release and all web site information is hereby granted. No need for further requests. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2 November 2009 Tennessee Independent Candidate James Reesor Announces Campaign Policy Designed To Alert Media and Citizens Regarding His Views On Political Issues NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Independent James Reesor today outlined his policy of using Internet communications to broaden understanding of his candidacy among potential voters. Reesor believes the presentation of his ideas on web sites is superior to public speeches that are too easily forgotten. The easy access and transparency of written words and graphics make it possible for media reporters, and many other people, to accurately evaluate his positions on complex issues." Rather than soliciting contributions to cover typical campaign expenses, I'm providing free ideas on my web sites – including Facebook, Twitter, and other venues to avoid wasting limited resources," said Reesor, a Tennessee author, and founder of Amerijericho. "People with computers can find my clearly outlined opinions from the comfort of homes, schools and business places." Reesor outlines his three-point strategy: 1) Media professionals and curious citizens should be urged to do Google searches to learn as much as possible about all candidates for governor. Voting for the right reasons is more important than allowing misinformation to cloud perceptions. 2) Challenge citizens to take responsibility for making wise choices when voting. The quality of service we expect elected officials to provide should be a top priority in how candidates are evaluated. Remember that not everyone is capable of making sense out of nonsense. 3) We need to admit that the American political system has been dominated by Democrats and Republicans. Problems being experienced are a result of their impulsive actions and irresponsible inactions. If voters fail to recognize the need for significant "status quo" corrections, there will be no Independents elected to rescue us from the failing two-party system. Reesor has stated his concerns regarding "excessive taxation" and will soon be circulating a petition to encourage interested citizens to send used tea bags to political leaders. "We need to dramatically symbolize concerns about government interference in our daily lives. Sending used tea bags to political leaders might convince them that we are tired of high taxes. The Tea Bag Revolt petition – http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/americanteabagrevolt2010/ – is found on my web site," Reesor explained. |

– To Be Composed of Current Gubernatorial Candidates and Friends NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Facebook user Tennessee Independent James Reesor today has publicized his desire to form Reesor Renegades. Carefully laid out plans include futuristic projects to be undertaken by "political foes, co-workers and friends" if he wins the 2010 election. Reesor said, "Tennessee is divided into three parts: East, Middle and West. Politicians have talked about it and our flag honors the differences. As Governor, I will fight for community unity and do my best to encourage harmony rather than division. Changing our flag design from three stars to one will symbolize the unity I believe we need. Requesting participation in my administration by candidates who are my opponents would help solidify state endeavors as we move forward." The first press release emailed to the media on 18 May 2008 documented Reesor's hope of being elected Governor – something he attempted once before in 1974. His position on issues can be found in a small booklet titled "James Reesor Campaign Ideas." His web site serves as the only "campaign headquarters" to eliminate need for contributions from "special interest groups." "My low-budget, hi-tech grassroots campaign relies solely on word-of-mouth advertising to get information out to potential voters. Most Democrats and Republicans are richer, better dressed and have more friends than me, but I have plans for them if I'm elected. All that talent will be put to good use if they're sincere about wanting to serve the people in our state," Reesor explained. Reesor's web site has hundreds of messages explaining his point of view on a variety of subjects. Statistics showing thousands of viewers indicate that his ideas are being evaluated, yet he has no obvious plans to rest on his laurels. "My particular brand of "Reesor Renegades' will probably be people from all 95 counties who are nonconformists and Independents like me. Hopefully, they will be stubborn, honest, true lovers of freedom, compassionate, hard-workers, open-minded, kind to kids and dogs, and willing to work hard to get things done," Reesor said. Reesor.com might require goggles for visitors who are easily blinded by flashing lights. The colorful, artistically designed pages are loaded with flickering links, photos, and graphics. We saw none of the typical "stars and stripes" or patriotic themes so commonly used by other candidates. Campaign photos showing people holding his "bumper sticker sign" and several YouTube videos provide a convincing argument – proving the creative versatility of this elderly gentleman. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 22 December 2009 Tennessee Independent Candidate James Reesor Announces Campaign Policy To Alert Media and Citizens Regarding His Position On Issues NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Independent James Reesor first announced his candidacy on 18 May 2008. He has been using Internet communications to broaden understanding of his candidacy among potential voters. Reesor believes the presentation of his ideas on web sites is superior to public speeches that are too easily forgotten. The easy access and transparency of written words and graphics make it possible for media reporters, and many other people, to accurately evaluate his positions on complex issues. "Rather than soliciting contributions to cover typical campaign expenses, I'm providing free ideas on my web sites - including Facebook, Twitter, and other venues to avoid wasting limited resources," said Reesor, a Tennessee author, and founder of Amerijericho. "People with computers can find my clearly outlined opinions from the comfort of homes, schools and business places." Reesor noted that, according to his web site statistics, a steady increase in unique visitor hits per day means "free word-of-mouth advertising" might be a factor in his "frugal" grassroots campaign. "The highest number of hits on my web site since announcing my candidacy last year remains at 29,222. The daily average is running about 5,000. It is very encouraging to realize that my unique ideas for Tennessee are becoming more widely known," Reesor said. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 January 2010 Tennessee Independent Candidate James Reesor's New Year's Message "It is an honor to visit the Tennessee State Capitol. This grand old building has been standing like a fortress against many natural and political storms since 1859. Patriots have walked around and through this limestone structure for over 150 years. Talented people continue to labor in ornate chambers, and are filling pages of history books with their own personal stories about compassion, dedication, persistence, and innovation. Architect William Strickland and Chairman of the State Building Commission Samuel Morgan were a testimony to visionary concepts. Their entombment in this famous Nashville monument epitomizes a manifestation of splendor that far surpasses what most mortal men achieve in a lifetime – and we remain mindful of thousands who have displayed devotion to a cause greater than themselves. Courageous men and women in state government live and die while providing services to millions of citizens. They do their best to represent constituents while proudly proclaiming a common heritage in this land where new dreams keep hope alive. Like them, we have original ideas designed to carry us into an uncertain future. When we embark on a new course – starting January 2011 – it is my hope that all of us will proceed together as one state, one family of God, undivided, and happy to accept responsibilities as we equally enjoy full benefits. As one gubernatorial candidate among many, I have no personal desire to be a conventional leader. My purpose driven ambition is greater than that of special interest-group puppets. I plan to avoid becoming a people-pleasing, double-talking, pie-in-the-sky, tax-and-spend politician. Playing the role of either a humble public servant or a cruel tyrannical dictator is not my style. Nothing would please me more than to be described as a 'slave' for you the people if am miraculously elected. Making sacrifices and working selflessly for my neighbors would be an opportunity of the highest calling. Those of you who will be voting for a new Tennessee governor on 2 November 2010, please consider my signature campaign pledge – and all of my ideas – if you want a UNITED TENNESSEE under a single-star flag. Everything that needs to be done will be done to make our fragile human lives better – only if a visionary majority decide to vote smart for a change." |
------- Copy & Share With The Tennessee Media ------- White Horse Independent James Reesor Announced His Candidacy On 18 May 2008 James has been using Internet communications to broaden understanding of his candidacy among potential voters. Though appointing himself campaign treasurer, he does not solicit contributions and refuses to accept financial or other favors even when offered -- to avoid typical "special interest" entanglements. The Reesor campaign headquarters and most of his activities are limited to his web sites. He explains, "We seekers of public office should be outlining our position on issues and making known our intentions if elected. Citizen voters need to take responsibility for gathering facts in order to make rational choices among competitors prior to voting. Reesor said, "Making relevant information available to everyone with a computer and access to the Internet seems far superior to the old-fashioned procedures of the past." FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 February 2010 Honest Reporters Can Use Reesor Quotes To Educate Honest Voters "I am an Independent Tennessee gubernatorial candidate proposing a seven-year transition to cut the size of state government and lower taxes by 30-50 percent. I want to disengage from federal entanglements, create a Mind Formation System to educate citizens, and drop two stars from our flag to symbolize unity!" – James Reesor --------------------- "You can describe me as a trustworthy White Horse Independent when deciding how to explain my political ideas. Too many of my friends have been kicked by a donkey or stepped on by an elephant – and it’s about time to ride far away from barnyard tyrants when voting on 2 November 2010.” – James Reesor --------------------- “As your governor, I will do my best to include current gubernatorial candidates, former governors and cabinet members, responsible voters, and smart kids in my Advisory Council. We need unity to succeed in Tennessee.” – James Reesor -------------------- “Someone figured out that life is a two-way street in a give-and-take world -- and we need to refrain from selfishness if we really care about each other and want to live our lives in a happy way. Maybe we can do some really good things together if we really care about solving problems in Tennessee.” – James Reesor -------------------- “As your governor, I will be doing my best to bring sanity back to government in the form of honesty, simplicity, integrity, and conformity to Godly principles exactly as advocated by our original founding fathers.” – James Reesor --------------------- “My current projects are designed to make things better for everyone, but I can't do it alone. If you care about any of my ideas and want to help, your moral support and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Ignoring me or making rude remarks is not polite or productive.” – James Reesor --------------------- "America and Tennessee are too broke too fix without divine intervention! The dollar is losing value rapidly! We are on the verge of an economic tsunami and the DC idiots are focused on two-party power plays. Are you ready for gas lines, food shortages, more business failures and massive job losses leading to bankruptcies and street riots?" – James Reesor --------------------- "If you are a registered voter and plan to vote smart in 2010, maybe you better take time to figure out your options. Which 'candidate' will best do what you want done if elected? Have you taken time to do some research in order to learn positions on issues -- or are you too busy complaining instead of learning what you need to know before voting?" – James Reesor --------------------- “Evil people in our world make trying to be a true Christian almost impossible. It's something like trying to stay clean in a cesspool, trying to be an honest politician when rich people offer bribes, trying to be humble when you are beautiful and famous – or trying to be a virgin in a whorehouse.” – James Reesor --------------------- “We need more lovers of nature – farmers, gardeners, fruit trees, pure water wells, etc. – if we want Mother Earth to keep us healthy and happy. We need to emphasize community unity within self-sustaining lifestyles as members of Amerijericho. Let's give a shout for proper nutrition and daily exercise.” – James Reesor --------------------- “Low wages, low business profit, credit with high interest in a paper-shuffling economy – where the Gross National Product (GNP) lacks compatibility with consumer demand – is the reason we are experiencing tough times. Our national debt must be eliminated if America is to survive as a superpower beyond 2011.” – James Reesor --------------------- "Senate Republicans delayed the Tennessee Voter Confidence Act to prevent Democrats from tampering with the November 2010 elections. The $35 million in federal funds could be better used as we transition to reduce the size of state government by 30-50 percent after I am miraculously elected." – James Reesor --------------------- "Mocked and oppressed Christians – true Christians – are not popular in America or in other countries. Our opinions do not conform to conventional thinking because we see the world through the eyes of God instead of the butt of Satan." – James Reesor |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 March 2010 Competent Reporters Can Use Reesor Quotes To Inform Curious Voters “If anyone doubts the legitimacy of my candidacy, having been the first to announce on 18 May 2008, make two simple phone calls to confirm: State of Tennessee Registry of Election Finance (615) 741-7959 and Department of State Division of Elections (615) 741-7956.” – White Horse Independent James Reesor -------------------- “Has anyone in the media reported on my ‘World Chaos’ and ‘Now or Never’ messages – that are easily found on my web site message boards? Have you seen or heard about any of my press releases getting attention by the Tennessee media? Are voters properly informed or is ignorance of facts preferable to reality?” – James Reesor -------------------- "Being a slave for the people of Tennessee as governor would make me happy. Working selflessly for my neighbors would be an opportunity of the highest calling. Please consider my signature campaign pledge if you want a UNITED TENNESSEE under a single-star flag to symbolize unity." – James Reesor -------------------- “As a man seeking public office, I believe in freedom to enjoy life and the pursuit of happiness. I do NOT believe in termination of human life under any circumstances except when self-defense requires justifiable action to eliminate a threat. Think of me as anti-oppression, anti-persecution, and anti-abortion.” – James Reesor -------------------- "It seems that in America, loyalty to the Federal Reserve, reverence for Wall Street, respect for the World Bank, and infatuation with money have become the 'idols' in the hearts of politicians who oppose the ways of Jesus Christ." – James Reesor --------------------- "Democrat and Republican candidates for governor in Tennessee will be doing everything in their power to distract, obstruct, ignore or declare war against competitors. Loyal bureaucrat government supporters and media-hack backers will be assisting them behind the scenes to make it difficult for we Independents to get our message out to voters." – James Reesor --------------------- "My Crazy Man James campaign is a new concept! Giving speeches for crowds or debating other candidates might seem exciting to watch on TV, but seldom does anyone remember what was said in the proper context. Most of my time will be devoted to feet-on-the-street traveling to do some person-to-person talking when not writing words on the web." – James Reesor -------------------- "The American political system is dominated by Democrats and Republicans. Problems being experienced are a result of their impulsive actions and irresponsible inactions. If voters fail to recognize the need for significant status quo corrections, there will be no Independents elected to make needed changes." – James Reesor -------------------- "Lawyer-politicians have created federal, state and local governments that are too broke to fix. We must unite to pick up the pieces of our lives if we want to survive. If we fail to understand the urgency of this moment in history, we are doomed to follow the example of Christian-hating Rome." – James Reesor --------------------- "Any nation built on rebellion against God is doomed to rot from the inside out. Honest people admit that America is dominated by immorality, political deceptions, corruption, greed and dishonesty in the marketplaces. Unless we repent as a nation, and change from the error of our ways, we will not survive." – James Reesor --------------------- "It was 1791 when the Bill of Rights became a part of the United States Constitution. Unfortunately, the federal government ignores the Tenth Amendment -- and has taken upon itself powers not granted. Is it any wonder, then, that Independents like myself are seeking public office?" – James Reesor --------------------- "Don't vote for me if you like big government and high taxes. Don't vote for me if you enjoy having your freedoms stripped away. Don't vote for me if you are a bigot, a degenerate Christian-hater, or a two-party loyalist who thinks only Democrats and Republicans qualify for your support." James Reesor – alias "JR" --------------------- “Lawyers created political/government systems that exclude regular citizens from equal participation. Legal jargon replaced common sense and we have become victims of gross corruption. If we fail to defeat power-hungry tyrants, we will lose our ability to live in modest comfort and security.” – James Reesor --------------------- “People are unhappy with traditional politics and government intrusion into personal lives. Our businesses are over-regulated and over-taxed, and our standard of living is diminishing rapidly. Will we be dumb enough to elect more Democrats and Republicans to fix problems they ignored for years?” – James Reesor --------------------- “The Federal Reserve and greedy bankers are destroying America. Democrats equate to big government and high taxes. Republicans equate to big business and high prices. Most folks are low-wage slaves working for high overhead, low-profit employers -- and need to wise up or more jobs will be lost.” – James Reesor --------------------- “TENNESSEE in 2010 is at a turning point. Attempting to prolong the status quo as Democrats and Republicans prefer will lead to economic disaster. Nothing but radical changes in the way we govern ourselves – as I have proposed – could possibly move us forward while cutting the size of government and lowering taxes.” – James Reesor --------------------- “Any citizen or candidate for public office in Tennessee who lacks integrity, is motivated only for selfish reasons, chooses to be rude instead of demonstrating civility, and refuses to acknowledge the pressing issues impacting our state can go to hell!” – James Reesor -------------------- "If we still value the motivational power of hope, and if we still care about honoring leadership built on trust, we must explore the possibilities for restoration of the American dream – as first perceived by our founding fathers. I endorse the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and Constitution." – James Reesor |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 April 2010 Tennessee Media Ethics Questioned by White Horse Independent James Reesor “The two-party Democrat/Republican control of the political system in Tennessee is a reminder of why we should no longer tolerate the status quo,” Reesor said. “Focusing entirely on those with the ‘cash’ to spend on media advertising is not the way we should be determining what is newsworthy.” --------------------- “The Tennessee media has been selectively reporting on only Democrat and Republican gubernatorial candidates. They have consistently ignored my press releases – even though I was the first candidate to announce on 18 May 2008. My nominating petition signatures were verified on March 3rd, and my name will be on the ballot,” Reesor stated emphatically. --------------------- “It was my privilege to appoint myself ‘treasurer’ of my own campaign on 20 May 2009. I filed a Mid-Year Supplemental, the Year-End Supplemental, and will be filing my 1st Quarter campaign financial disclosure report by April 12th. Unlike all other candidates, I do not solicit or accept contributions or favors from special interest groups, “ Reesor said. --------------------- “Laws pertaining to how the ‘State of Tennessee Registry of Election Finance’ regulate the practices of candidates during a political campaign are in dire need of revision. Total control by Democrats and Republicans at the exclusion of ‘we the people’ Independents has placed limitations throughout the process,” Reesor said. “Free media publicity for two-party candidates while ignoring Independent candidates is unethical. The ‘value of free publicity’ should be determined, and then reported as a contribution. Anything that benefits the campaign of candidates should be included as a financial disclosure. Otherwise, media owners and their ‘special interest’ advertisers – who support particular candidates – can manipulate public opinion in favor of the ‘politician’ who promises to serve the whims of campaign contributors if elected. While Democrats and Republicans are getting free publicity, Independents are being insulted, mocked, or simply ignored by the media.” --------------------- “Voters in Tennessee will be deciding who to pick as the next governor this year – if voting machines are working properly. Otherwise, ‘glitches’ in the election process might be making it easy for government workers, illegal aliens, felons, kids, computer hackers, dead people or Mickey Mouse to vote.” – James Reesor --------------------- “Secretary of State Hargett is making sure graveyard voting will not happen again. 'Tennessee’s Division of Elections has identified at least 9,800 deceased voters who should be removed from voter registration rolls across the state.' Now we know why my satirical 'Dead People Vote' video was no joke.” – James Reesor --------------------- “If anyone doubts the legitimacy of my candidacy, having been the first to announce on 18 May 2008, make two simple phone calls to confirm: State of Tennessee Registry of Election Finance (615) 741-7959 and Department of State Division of Elections (615) 741-7956.” – White Horse Independent James Reesor --------------------- “To seek or hold the office of Tennessee Governor, a man or woman must be at least 30 years of age, a citizen of the United States and have been a citizen of Tennessee for 7 years before the election. There are no laws indicating a Governor must be rich, famous, a career politician or a lawyer.” – James Reesor --------------------- "My dog Magoo was commissioned to do a butt-sniffing poll. 29% of dogs owned by Democrats favor high taxes. 29% of dogs owned by Republicans favor low taxes, and 99% of dogs owned by Independents favor no taxes – and most dogs in Tennessee want more freedom to bark at lazy reporters and politicians." – James Reesor --------------------- "The 'Magoo Poll' revealed a startling disenchantment with Tennessee politics. 93% of voters believe only one Democrat and one Republican will be on the ballot. 83% of voters believe the media is ignoring Independents. 73% of voters can't name any of the candidates, and believe voting is a waste of time." – James Reesor --------------------- "When questioned by the Election Commission Board of Ethics, my dog Magoo admitted to accepting free bones to slant the poll numbers. He admitted that manipulation of voters is easy when poll numbers are used to spread misinformation. Erroneous opinions formed by gullible people corrupt elections." – James Reesor --------------------- “Ignoring or insulting Independent candidates while publicizing Democrats and Republicans is a mistake the Tennessee media continues to make. Not one candidate for public office deserves to be treated in a condescending way. Maybe a few reporters suffer from some kind of spiritual or mental disorder?” – James Reesor --------------------- "Members of the Tennessee media have permission to use my Facebook quotes. If anyone believes I'm not a valid White Horse Independent candidate for governor, feel free to legally challenge my qualifications in court. Otherwise, start treating me with respect rather than denigrating my dignity." – James Reesor |
Names of reporters contacted and hundreds of messages can be found on Reesor web sites. There is no justifiable excuse for ignoring Independent candidates -- no matter how much money Democrats and Republicans are spending on media advertising. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 May 2010 White Horse Independent Gubernatorial Candidate James Reesor Plans Victory Speech The Tennessee Department of State Division of Elections list of 2010 gubernatorial candidates has officially announced verification of 5 Republicans, 1 Democrat, and 14 Independents. (The only Democrat write-in candidate was not listed). Voters will now be bombarded by weeks of political advertising up to the August 5th primary and after -- continuing to the November 2nd general election. A Reesor "victory speech" will be taking place at Nashville's Chuck E. Cheese's at 7:00pm thru 11:00pm. James Reesor was born on 2 November 1938, and hopes to be elected on his election day birthday. Anyone willing to pay for their own lunch is invited to attend. (Sending a card is permissible for those who can't attend). “As Governor of Tennessee, I would want every person to know that we are living in two worlds; one being this ‘material’ realm, and the other being ‘spiritual.’ We must acknowledge the power of both God and Satan – two diametrically opposing forces in the war between good and evil. This ‘truth’ impacts our lives,” James Reesor said. Smart Tennessee voters will be able to choose between one Republican, one Democrat, and fourteen Independents after the August primary – plus any write-in candidates that get into the race. "Knowing how ‘vote spoilers’ play the game of politics, it wouldn’t surprise me to see 500 more write-in candidates," a smiling Reesor proclaimed. “It will not be me that conforms to the existing ‘ways’ of those who currently govern Tennessee; we must determine within our hearts and minds to conform ourselves to the ‘ways’ of Lord Jesus Christ. Our survival depends on rejection of corruption if we expect to enjoy peace and prosperity in the eternal future. Just for the record, I’d rather die than compromise with Satan. There will be no action taken on my part to assume authority as just another ‘puppet on a string.’ If elected, I’d need your help in making revolutionary changes in how government functions. Existing ‘rules and procedures’ are in dire need of revision," James Reesor said. Take your pick: Zach Wamp, Bill Haslam, Joe Kirkpatrick, Basil Marceaux, Sr., Ron Ramsey, Mike McWherter, Brandon Dodds, Samuel David Duck, Carl Twofeathers Whitaker, Boyce T. McCall, Toni K. Hall, June Griffin, Donald Ray McFolin, James Reesor, Bayron Binkley, Mike Knois, Thomas Smith II, David Gatchell, Howard M. Switzer, or Linda Kay Perry... "and probably a bunch of write-in candidates," Reesor assumed. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 18 May 2010 My 18 May 2008 Press Release 2nd Anniversary This message pertains to the candidacy of White Horse Independent James Reesor TODAY IS A SPIRITUAL TURNING POINT FOR AMERICA AND TENNESSEE. EVALUATION OF EVENTS WILL DRAMATICALLY SUBSTANTIATE DIVINE INTERVENTION. The first 18 May 2008 PRESS RELEASE formerly announced my intention to become a 2010 candidate for governor in Tennessee. It was FAXED to hundreds of politicians, churches and media people. Also, it was hand-delivered to potential Advisory Council members. There was zero interest shown in my press release, and this reference to my vision has not seen the light of day: "God revealed the location of undiscovered oil, gold and diamond resources during a vision. These natural resources in Amerijericho will be used to benefit all members – only if I am elected governor and am given the opportunity to sway public opinion!" TWO YEARS OF REJECTION BY THE MEDIA HAS NOW RESULTED IN LOST OPPORTUNITIES FOR MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIANS. As a consequence of rejection by those who lack faith in God and/or in me, the formation of Amerijericho is no longer an option. There is insufficient time remaining before the second phase of the rapture – and the seven-year tribulation period that prophetically starts with a peace treaty. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 1 June 2010 Tennessee White Horse Independent Gubernatorial Candidate James Reesor Plans To Make Soap Box Speeches Door-To-Door Across The State NASHVILLE, Tenn. – White Horse Independent James Reesor announced his gubernatorial candidacy on 18 May 2008. He is the only candidate refusing to accept campaign contributions, and has been using “free” time to reach potential voters on the Internet. James is a believer in sharing “free” ideas in the hope that people will provide “free” word-of-mouth advertising. "Other than using my computer to communicate on Facebook, Twitter, and on several other web sites, taking a soap box into neighborhoods to do a little informal speech-making is the cheapest way I can think of to campaign person-to-person. I can’t afford media advertising or fanfare to announce where or when I will be making an appearance," Reesor explained. James Reesor has been promising a “single-star flag” if elected. He believes that “symbolizing state unity” would be better than emphasizing the three divisions of Tennessee. “Every citizen in every community needs to feel like an equal member of our state family. Every person must be treated with respect as we move forward to create jobs and provide solutions to existing problems,” he said While Democrats, Republicans, and a few Independents have been traveling and debating in recent weeks, James Reesor has been waiting until after the August 5th primaries to become more actively involved. The Internet has been his campaign headquarters for anyone who can’t decide if they should vote for or against him. “My ideas about politics and religion can be easily found in cyberspace. We need to become informed about many complex issues before deciding which candidate will best reflect our philosophical values. I’ve been using this slogan for over two years: Vote Smart for A Change... even if it’s for someone else,” Reesor said. |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 13 June 2010 Tennessee White Horse Independent Gubernatorial Candidate James Reesor Says We Need A July Holy Ghost Revival NASHVILLE, Tenn. – White Horse Independent James Reesor believes that an old-fashioned Holy Ghost revival is necessary to stop rebellion against God. "Circumstances in America, and in all nations, will grow worse unless people repent of sin. We must realize that innovative solutions to problems in Tennessee will only come through divine inspiration," he said. James Reesor first attempted to gain access to the governor's office in 1974 as a candidate in opposition to Ray Blanton, Lamar Alexander, and others. He claims to be the only candidate not accepting campaign contributions. "Why do people invest large sums of money so politicians can travel and advertise? Do they want favors after the election? It's time the media started sharing free ideas with the public in a honest, fair and balanced way," Reesor said "If I am miraculously elected, uniting Tennesseans under a single-star flag would be a great symbolic gesture. We could begin the process of reducing the size of government by 30-50 % during a 7-year transition. We will lower taxes, eliminate needless regulations to encourage business owners, and do our best to disengage from federal entanglements. We need to create self-sustaining lifestyles in every community based on self-employed jobs," he said. James Reesor will celebrate his 72nd birthday on election day in November. He is already planning a victory speech. “God can help us make wise decisions if we all learn to rely on Him more than on ourselves. We need important information about many complex issues before deciding which candidate deserves to win. I’ve been using this slogan ever since announcing my candidacy on 18 May 2008: Vote Smart for A Change... even if it’s for someone else,” he said.
