General Election Date: 2 November 2010

Governor James Reesor

(1) The staff and research teams will be selected after doing extensive interviews with former governor's and cabinet members.

(2) The four-year objectives will be clearly defined within the first 90 days of my administration.

(3) Government reductions will include merging of departments, ceasing needless services, promoting personnel into the private sector and transforming pay scales to assure short-term "servant" mind sets rather than fostering prolonged "leadership" career aspirations which lead
to frivolous high-tax-supported retirement benefits.

(4) Sanctioning or referencing members of political parties for the sake of showing preference should be discontinued. Representation of "we the people" is a privilege to be earned by clearly stating positions on issues and fully divulging information needed by citizens before voting. "Full disclosure" by candidates can be done on web sites accessible to the media and interested voters. Opinions can then be formed and confirmed without bias or political ideologies - which has too often led to dissemination of misinformation.

(5) "Individualism" is a more desirable standard to follow than any membership status achieved within a particular political group - most of which cater to lowest-common-denominator majority endeavors. We have seen negative repercussions from "party switching" to gain advantages at
the risk of disenfranchising segments of the electorate. When fickle candidates decide "personal success" is more important than espousing a principled position on issues - then voters need to
be smart enough to realize that "judging books with changing covers" makes decision-making impossible. What we see is not always what we get when choosing a "picture on a billboard"
or a "commercial on TV" to represent our interests in government.

(6) "Political parties" are the ultimate "special interest group" that needs to be shunned
by candidates for public office who are sincere in their desire to represent only the people who elect them. If elected, my focus would be on "ideas" rather than on "pay to play" schemes or "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kind of monkey business. Loyalty to a political party - Democrats or Republicans - is nothing more than a distraction that we need to avoid in Tennessee. I'd prefer negotiating, setting priorities and making plans to establish objectives
with members of the General Assembly who are "independently" loyal to their constituents.
I see no reason why friendly, honest, passionate, competent, innovative and energetic truck drivers, farmers, teachers, preachers, musicians, store clerks or others from communities
across the state should not be elected to serve "we the people."

We need to vote smart for a change!

(7) Voters in 2010 need to vote for good neighbors rather than for cantankerous, greedy business tycoons or arrogant attorneys. In fact, if I'm elected Governor of Tennessee, my primary consultants will be "smart kids" instead of old power brokers in smoke-filled rooms.

Governor's Internet Communications

(1) Provision of information will be done in a totally transparent way by maintaining State of Tennessee Web Site Networks. All citizens with access to computers will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own - ongoing awareness - to assure realistic actions and reactions to all issues related to state government.

(2) My originally conceived "Amerijericho" web site concepts will be improved and expanded
as participation increases. The "
Amerijericho Advisory Council" message board will become
a conduit through which member suggestions will help us make positive changes in how we function as a society.

If only one man, one woman, or one child is hungry, homeless or hurting - then we have failed to accomplish the good things that must be done to qualify as a good neighbor.

Governor Reesor's Cabinet

(1) It will be my privilege to consult with previous governors and cabinet members in order
to enhance the selection process required to establish my own administration.

(2) In a fast-moving and complex world, it is my hope that those who agree to accept responsibilities for the various "departments" will be philosophically compatible with me. Sharing this duty with "friends" who epitomize endless energy and innovative expertise
is necessary if we are to function cohesively while doing the business of state.

My Proposed Reorganization

We need to eradicate excessive interference by government by restoring individual responsibility. A lower state budget can then be achieved once a lower rate of taxation has
been implemented. A variety of new programs will need to be funded and managed by volunteers within counties, communities and municipalities.

(1) The basic tenets of common sense governing should be founded upon the original intent
of the American founding fathers. It will be my hope to conform Tennessee and Amerijericho, our new state-of-mind nation, to the actual meaning of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence - from the perspective of Biblical communications attributed to Lord Jesus Christ. "Principles" undergirding His ministry are far superior to those otherwise espoused or practiced. Believers and non-believers alike will benefit if modern "capitalism" and other forms of governing can be replaced by "Amerijerichoism." Christians should be able to recognize these goals as a good first step toward the kind of reality that the "Kingdom of God" symbolizes.

(2) A seven-year transition from the past into the future should enable serious lawmakers sufficient time to make required adjustments to our way of life. I believe it is important for us to reorganize, refine and create a more realistic governing system. We need to serve all people more efficiently, honestly and fairly. Individuals seeking to represent their districts within the General Assembly must assume duties for full-time six-year schedules. Overlapping term time frames in accordance with other personnel will help to maintain stability and continuity as the state moves from one governor to another.

(3) The existing departments, commissions, boards, agencies and all other entities need to be merged into seven levels for the purpose of cutting the cost of operations and increasing efficiency of services:

(1) Amerijericho Advisory Council (2) Governor (3) General Assembly (4) Human Services (5) Natural Resource Services
(6)
Lifestyle Services (7) Arbitration Services.

NOTE from James: My outlined recommendations for state government transformation will
be published on this web site page within three days if I'm miraculously elected. If I lose as
most people expect, I will continue to advocate Amerijericho concepts.
