James Reesor 2010 Campaign Issues #3 Introduction: Yesterday, 2 July 2010, I received a candidate survey from David Fowler, president of The Family Action Council of Tennessee. They, along with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council, will be making my views available to their statewide constituency via a broadcasting network airing in over 70 counties – plus electronically at: http://www.focusvoter.com "1. Do you support or oppose prohibiting local school systems from teaching "abstinence only" sex..." |
James Reesor 2010 Campaign Issues #2 Introduction: These answers of mine to questions provided by Carla Hailey, Assistant to Editor Chris Fletcher of The Daily Herald in Columbia, Tennessee, can be read/copied/shared by anyone wanting information about relevant issues in this current 2010 campaign. They have graciously agreed to publish my answers online "verbatim" at http://www.c-dh.net "1. Pre-kindergarten education was one of the hallmark programs implemented by Gov. Phil Bredesen. If elected, would you support expanding the pre-K program, or given the state’s financial problems..." |
James Reesor 2010 Campaign Issues #1 Introduction: The following eight questions for gubernatorial candidates was distributed by the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association’s Executive Director Candi Rawlins. The letter to me was dated 23 June 2010. My responses are shown below. "1. Tennessee encompasses some of the most beautiful undisturbed natural resources left in the United States, yet ranks as the seventh-worse state in the nation for conservation efforts. What would you do to..." |
Everyone wants to be happy. All of us deserve freedom to think, speak, and act to
assure equal opportunities for a good life. |
We need new and better ideas to make our existence meaningful. Thinkers, artists,
and inventors can help improve our lifestyles. |
Humbling ourselves before God in silence each day will open up our consciousness.
We must all learn to follow His guidance. |
Our existence on this speck of dust in space is a magnificent example of why conformity
to the laws of God is necessary. |
Many laws and regulations that impede our ability to utilize the treasures of earth
will need to be removed. God is the owner. |
Our compatibility with Mother Earth is essential as we strive to restore and refine
what has been lost through careless actions. |
Let's be proud of our heritage as we celebrate differences in how we relate to others
of good will. Family unity is a good thing. |
People who love people are great neighbors. Nothing we do during our daily lives
is more important than spending time with friends. |
Our home should be a place of comfort where convenience and modesty are valued highly.
We can learn to be innovative. |
Let's imagine that people living near us are more important than those far away.
They should be treated like family members. |
It's okay to have honest, casual conversations with our relatives, friends, neighbors,
and strangers when spending time together. |
Like actors on a stage, our way of doing things can be designed to show originality
as we engage in transforming self-expression. |
Ownership of nations by those who control governments, banks and corporations must
no longer be an option. Let servants rule. |
Military power is necessary if we want peace-loving people to be defended from rebellious
souls. Fools can be very dangerous. |
Watch and listen when children play. They can be wonderful role models for adults
who have lost their innocence. God loves'em! |
